There are a number of active groups in Central and East England who are passionate about recruitment of foster carers and adopters and peer-led support, not to mention our strong network of champions and churches across the region. There are a number of excellent support groups, and we are keen to connect with adopters, foster carers and organisations who are interested in supported lodgings provision across this region.
Our champion network and local movements across Central and East of England includes individuals as well as groups, who are working tirelessly to put fostering and adoption on the Church’s agenda.
Central and East Coordinator
Sharon coordinates Home for Good’s work across the Central and East of England. She works by developing old and new connections with the churches in the region and inspires those within our churches to consider fostering, adoption or supported lodgings. She helps people to consider what part they can play in meeting the needs of vulnerable children and young people in their area. Sharon loves to partner with volunteers and equips them to support others by being a peer support help or peer support volunteer to others. Having fostering and adoption as part of the thread work in her family, Sharon has seen first hand the potential and changed trajectory welcoming vulnerable children can have.
