Today, the APPG for Adoption and Permanence has published its latest report; Strengthening Families: Improving stability for adopted children. This report summarises the findings of the group’s latest inquiry which has gathered the experiences of around 200 adopted young people and adults and almost 500 adoptive parents and makes a set of clear recommendations to improve the stability provided to children living in adoptive families, over the short and long term.
Home for Good is pleased to provide joint-secretariat alongside Adoption UK to the APPG and welcomes the launch of today’s report, which seeks to feed into the Children’s Social Care Review in England. A virtual event will be held later today to mark the publication of the report, with Children’s Minister Vicky Ford MP and Chair of the Children’s Social Care Review, Josh MacAlister confirmed as speakers.
Further information about the report is available on the APPG’s website.
